A Brief History and Future of Color in Cinema: Session 2, Hollywood’s Transition to Full-Color Production

This second session continues the journey through the evolution of color in cinema — from the rise of chromogenic processes like 3-strip Technicolor to the widespread adoption of color driven by both filmmakers and the influence of television.

We’ll explore the transition into single-strip color processes that defined modern filmmaking, setting the stage for the digital era.

Presented as a moderated discussion followed by audience Q&A.
